I’m going to choose to accept our lack of updates as a signal that we are doing what we’re called to do: be actively and passionately involved in the lives, discipleship and development of the students here at Revolution5.
Check out photos of our recent trips on Revolution5’s Facebook page.
We are having a blast! Lives are changing here at Rev5 and we are humbled to have a front-row seat view of the growth happening all around us. Renewed commitments to Christ, surrendered sin patterns, new identities as sons and daughters of Christ, stepping into leadership like never before — this is a snapshot of the landscape around us. Lives being forever altered and oriented towards Christ and bearing His image in brilliant ways!
The winter months brought us indoors and into the classroom. We took a look at a biblical worldview on family, church, workplace and government. The students started real-life businesses that bought and sold goods and services. They are using the profits to pour back into the community this coming Saturday. See for yourself:
Today marks the beginning of the last month here at Rev5, as we celebrate graduation on May 25th. We’re so excited to finish strong and send the students off with a new arsenal of truth, courage and purpose in their lives. This month, students are being given more opportunities to lead and exercise what they’ve been learning this last 8 months.
How you can join with us
By the grace of God, there has been provision to pay all the bills here at Rev5. Looking into this next year, Jodie and I will be seeking financial and prayer support, both personally and as a non-profit ministry, to make this sustainable. Thank you to those who have come alongside us and given financially and with your prayers to encourage and support us.
That being said, a particular need has come to my attention that I’d love to ask your help with: during a group workout months ago, we were playing basketball and a student knocked his tooth loose. The cost to have the tooth repaired is outside of his and Rev5’s ability to pay and it’s quite critical that the repair be completed.
Would you consider donating to help with this medical expense? I’m guessing it’s going to cost between $4,000-$6,000, so any generosity is appreciated. (Revolution5 donations will be tax-deductible, as we are in the final stages of receiving our 501c3 status and donations are retroactively tax-deductible during this process.) Let me know if you’re interested in helping.
Thanks!
Brian
