Simply Jesus
The last few weeks have been full of adventures. Thanks to the generosity of a friend, Rev5 spent part of a week hidden away in a secluded cabin surrounded by aspen trees and mountains, teaching and being taught about some key characteristics of Christ. Jodie and I enjoyed a beautiful fall walk down an aspen lined street as a family. The beauty was refreshing!
Staff Retreat
The following week, our staff embarked on our first-ever mid-year staff retreat. To give you an idea of how needed the time away was, it took us 24 hours, just to go around and share about how we are doing. Needless to say, there was sufficient tears and encouragement. As a staff, we really enjoy each other, and celebrated with laughs, stories and growth-provoking conversations.
Loving Marriage
Jodie and I have enjoyed some regular morning dates, thanks to Jodie’s mom, who now lives with us and frequently helps watch the kids. We learned that spending money on dinner didn’t necessarily provide the best connection point for our marriage, so we began exercising together: going on runs, rock climbing — then finish up with an inexpensive breakfast instead. We both feel so blessed by our marriage!
Video Shoot
This week, we have the pleasure of having a good friend and videographer from Chicago in town to help film a handful of short videos for Revolution5, to help us get the word out to more people about what we’re doing. Stay tuned for those in the next couple weeks!
Family for Thanksgiving
Lastly, Jodie and I are blessed with the opportunity to visit family in San Diego, California over Thanksgiving. We’re really looking forward to time with family, morning runs on the beach and celebrating what God is doing in our lives.
Thanks for loving us!
Thanks for caring about our story! If you want to join with us, we have a budgetary gap to fill and are humbly seeking financial support from those that believe in us and the disciple-making ministry we are living out each day with Revolution5 Leadership Institute. Click here to give. Thanks!
